- MWM Chapter 320
“Do you know a Ravager named Yondu?” Leo asked directly.
After spending six months in the Naruto world, Leo had decided to aim for a medium completion level of his current mission, prioritizing efficiency over achieving the highest level. The reason was simple: the time in his main world was far more valuable. Given his current physical condition, securing a position as a Bronze Saint Seiya in the Greek Sanctuary wouldn’t be too difficult.
To reach the medium completion level, he needed to recruit Star-Lord Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Drax the Destroyer, Nebula, and Mantis. Gamora and Nebula were already with him, so the next easiest target was Star-Lord.
Based on the current timeline, Star-Lord should still be with Yondu’s Ravagers. If Leo could find Yondu, he would find Peter Quill. Additionally, locating Yondu would also lead him to Mantis.
Mantis, an alien and Peter Quill’s half-sister, had been taken to Ego’s planet due to her unique ability to soothe emotions. Ego spared her life because of this skill. To find Mantis, Leo needed to locate Ego’s planet, and Yondu was the only one who knew its location. Yondu had previously been hired by Ego to collect children from various planets and deliver them to Ego’s world.
Given that he had come into contact with the Ravagers, Leo prioritized tracking down Yondu.
“Yondu? The one who was expelled from the Ravagers for breaking the code by Stakar? Yeah, I know him,” Kakara immediately nodded after hearing Leo’s question.
The Ravagers in the galaxy had over a hundred factions, with the legendary Stakar Ogord, also known as Starhawk, as their leader.
Yondu was once a slave who Stakar rescued from a Kree prison, and later, Yondu joined the Ravagers and formed his own faction. To establish himself within the Ravagers and earn enough money to upgrade his ship, Yondu took on a job for Ego, collecting Ego’s children from across the universe.
However, after realizing Ego had killed all the children he delivered, Yondu decided not to hand over Peter Quill, instead raising him as his own. But Yondu’s actions violated one of the most important Ravager codes—no trafficking in children.
Furious, Stakar banished Yondu from the Ravagers.
“So you know him. Can you contact him, or do you know where he is now?” Leo’s tone lightened as soon as he heard that Kakara knew Yondu.
Kakara quickly shook his head. “Ever since he was kicked out, we haven’t been in touch. But sometimes, he and his crew stop by Contraxia to rest and recruit new members.”
Kakara assumed Yondu must have wronged Leo, leading to Leo seeking revenge. Of course, Kakara also had a plan of his own—Contraxia was a popular planet for Ravagers and bounty hunters. Most Ravager teams would go there to fence stolen goods and unwind after a heist. He figured if Leo went there, Kakara could reach out to other Ravager factions for help. Sure, it might be embarrassing, but at least he could save his skin and maybe even get his ship back.
“So, Contraxia, huh? Looks like we need to head there to find Yondu.”
“Contraxia is a Ravager stronghold. We might run into trouble if we just show up,” Gamora warned, concerned that Leo might not fully grasp the dangers of the planet.
But Leo waved off her concern with a smile. “Don’t worry, it won’t be a problem. How long will it take to get there?”
He could see through Kakara’s little scheme but didn’t care. With his current strength, he might not be on par with celestial beings like Ego, Odin, or the Ancient One, but when it came to powerful individuals among the Ravagers, he was confident he could handle them.
In fact, he believed that if he encountered Thanos, as long as the Mad Titan didn’t have the Infinity Stones, Leo could hold his own. Plus, he had Wanda by his side.
Since her powers had been awakened by the Mind Stone and she had learned magic, Wanda, if enraged, might even surpass Leo’s own strength.
Of course, Thanos was never alone; he had the Black Order and a massive army that could overwhelm most forces in the galaxy.
“Ravager ships are known for their speed. With this medium-sized Ravager ship, we should reach Contraxia in about five days,” Nebula calculated quickly, her half-mechanical brain processing the information.
“Then let’s set a course for Contraxia,” Leo said, standing up and glancing at Kakara and his crew.
“As for you all, return to your stations and get the ship moving.”
He pulled out the Mind Stone scepter from his pouch and used it to briefly control the Ravagers. Though the Mind Stone’s control wasn’t perfect and could be disrupted by attacks or extreme stimuli, it would be enough to keep them under control while they piloted the ship.
With that settled, Leo and Wanda began exploring the Ravager ship.
Though it was just a medium-sized ship, it was much larger than the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarriers that had taken years to develop. The ship contained many advanced alien technologies and equipment, which Leo found intriguing.
Five days later, after passing through two space wormholes, they finally saw the dim planet of Contraxia.
Unlike the vibrant, life-filled Earth, Contraxia was covered in ice and shrouded in darkness.
“The sun of Contraxia has aged and may lose all its energy in a few hundred years. The planet has been in perpetual winter for ages, and its native population has long since migrated to other worlds.
Now, it’s become a haven for Ravagers and bounty hunters, a lawless place where they come to party and trade their spoils,” Gamora explained to Leo and Wanda as they approached the planet.
As one of Thanos’ top spies and assassins, Gamora had an extensive knowledge of most of the planets in the galaxy. This knowledge was one of the reasons she had been able to locate the Soul Stone.
“Sounds like a must-visit spot on our cosmic road trip—definitely a unique planet,” Leo chuckled, pulling Wanda closer.
Though they hadn’t made it to the bustling planet of Xandar, visiting the infamous Ravager stronghold and seeing a dying world had its own appeal. Besides, if the planet was a Ravager hotspot, it was bound to have some interesting places to explore.
