MWM Chapter 337

This entry is part 338 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

“I refuse to accept this!”

The pain from the sword strikes prevented Ronan from activating the shield on his warhammer in time, and all ten thousand flying swords struck his body.

At first, his Kree battle armor withstood part of the attack, but due to the sheer number of swords, the armor was quickly torn apart, followed by his body.

In his final, unwilling roar, Ronan, the wielder of the Kree warhammer, collapsed to the ground, losing his life.

He, Ronan the Accuser, defeated here by an unknown figure? His ambition, his aspirations—gone just like that. How could he possibly accept this?

But unfortunately, against absolute power, no amount of unwillingness would change the outcome. After all, he wasn’t one of the “Bronze Saints” who could make a comeback through sheer willpower.

“Too arrogant, and you won’t live long.”

Seeing that Ronan had completely lost his breath, Leo released the Sage Art: Tsukuyomi and returned to the normal dimension.

In the Marvel universe, unless you’re as powerful as Dormammu or Chthon, being too arrogant while committing evil deeds gets you nowhere.

Because even if there’s no profit involved, if you’re unlucky and encounter a superhero, you’ll be dealt with like any other villain.

The key point is, many superheroes hold a belief in saving the world, even if it means sacrificing themselves. You take down one, and two more will appear; defeat two, and three or even a whole team will come after you.

That’s one reason why Leo always maintained a positive image.

Inside the main control room of the Dark Aster, the Kree soldiers, who had just gotten back up after being thrown by the Shinra Tensei, froze for a moment when they saw their leader, Ronan, vanish suddenly.

But in just a second, they saw their leader again—only this time, to their horror, they realized that their leader was now just a corpse.

“I’ll send you all to join your leader!”

To ensure the integrity of the Dark Aster and be more efficient, Leo sat down cross-legged, closed his eyes, and concentrated all his energy on controlling his flying sword wings.

They turned into ten thousand flying swords, spreading out to massacre every Kree soldier on the Dark Aster.

As a Shushan Sword Cultivator, with a single thought, one could behead a target a thousand miles away.

This didn’t mean sword cultivators could see that far, but rather that by channeling their mind and spirit into the sword, they could control it to kill enemies at a great distance.

At that moment, Leo dispersed his mind across the ten thousand flying swords, using them to clear the entire ship.

Long-distance sword control wasn’t as powerful as close-range combat, but it was more than sufficient to deal with the Kree soldiers.

After about five minutes, all the Kree soldiers aboard the Dark Aster had been dealt with.

“Dear, are you okay?”

When Leo opened his eyes and stood up, Wanda, Star-Lord, and the others hurriedly arrived at the main control room.

“I’m fine. They’re no match for your husband. But why are you here? I told you to wait on the ship.”

Leo opened his arms to hug the rushing Wanda, gently rubbing her head as he spoke with a helpless tone.

He didn’t want Wanda to come, not because he was worried about her safety—if Wanda unleashed her full power, even he might not be able to defeat her—but because he didn’t want her to see all the blood and corpses.

“If I didn’t come, our ship would’ve been destroyed.”

Gamora explained with a hint of helplessness.

It turned out that when they saw Leo hit by the Dark Aster’s main cannon earlier, Wanda lost control, and her powerful chaos magic nearly tore their Nova Empire ship apart.

It scared Star-Lord and the others half to death.

They never imagined that their normally sweet-tempered Wanda, who loved making them treats, could be so terrifying when angry.

Fortunately, Leo wasn’t hurt, and after some collective efforts to calm her down, Wanda returned to normal.

During these few days together, they had never worked with such unity and care toward one goal.

However, seeing that Leo had entered the Dark Aster but hadn’t come out for a while, Wanda grew worried again and insisted on coming in to check.

Star-Lord and the others, afraid she might explode again—and being adventurers at heart—decided to fly the ship through the hole Leo blasted open and boarded the Dark Aster.

Yet, the sight of all the Kree soldier corpses along the way left them feeling both anxious and awestruck.

This couple—one gentle and kind, the other always cheerful—seemed to have pretty good tempers. But now, it turned out they were both far more dangerous than they appeared.

“Ronan!”

At that moment, Nebula spotted Ronan’s corpse behind Leo and couldn’t help but gasp.

Her cry caught everyone’s attention.

Star-Lord and Rocket stared at the body lying on the ground, its abdomen completely pierced, and swallowed nervously.

Their leader was unbelievable—he had single-handedly taken down Ronan and all his subordinates.

Ronan the Accuser, a famous figure in the universe.

“Ronan, your ship is surrounded. Lay down all weapons immediately and await judgment from the Nova Empire.”

The large screen in the main control room flickered, and a general in a Nova Corps uniform appeared, issuing a stern warning.

But halfway through his speech, the general stopped abruptly, his eyes widening.

“The Supreme Intelligence sent you, right? Perfect. I’ve already dealt with Ronan and his subordinates. You can take the Dark Aster back and modify it. I’ll come to Xandar to retrieve it once the modifications are done.”

With a wave of Leo’s hand, Ronan’s body, with a gaping hole in its chest, floated before the screen.

After hearing Leo’s words, the general took a moment before replying:

“You must be Mr. Leo. The Supreme Intelligence mentioned you. Thank you for helping us take down Ronan. We’ll send people to take over the Dark Aster immediately. Please wait a moment.”

The Supreme Intelligence had indeed mentioned someone like Leo, but the situation described was entirely different from what he was witnessing now.

He had expected a life-or-death battle of cosmic proportions, yet it turned out they were just here to clean up afterward.

“Enter from the right side; I made a big hole over there.”

Leo nodded.

Soon, the general leading this rescue mission arrived with his team in a small ship, entering through the massive hole Leo had blown open, and they smoothly handled the handover of the Dark Aster.

Along the way, they, too, saw countless Kree soldier corpses, marveling at Leo’s terrifying power.

After explaining that they needed to search for someone named Drax on TS-214, the rescue general personally led Leo and his team to the planet, where they found the local commander.

The commander had witnessed firsthand how Leo single-handedly took down the Dark Aster and was filled with both reverence and gratitude.

Upon understanding who Leo was looking for, he immediately dispatched someone to retrieve the planet’s top warrior, Drax, and bring him to the base.
