- MWM Chapter 369
“Pisces Aphrodite!”
“Scorpio Milo!”
Two Saints clad in Gold Cloths slowly approached, their powerful Gold Cosmos radiating as they advanced. The sight instantly darkened Albiore’s expression.
“Albiore of Cepheus! For refusing multiple summons from the Pope and defying his orders, conspiring with traitors, you have been labeled a traitor yourself. Today, under the Pope’s command, I, Scorpio Milo, sentence you and all the Saints of Andromeda Island to death!” Milo declared loudly, facing Albiore.
“Masters, we are not traitors like Albiore! The information sent to the Sanctuary yesterday was from us,” two Bronze Saints suddenly leaped out from the crowd, kneeling beside Milo on one knee.
Milo glanced at them, expressionless, and nodded.
“You must be Ryda of Southern Fish and Spica of Cassiopeia. Well done. Step aside, and once we return to the Sanctuary, the Pope will reward you accordingly.”
“Betrayers! How could you turn against your own master?” Chameleon Janie and others erupted in fury, shouting angrily.
Albiore, however, raised his hand and stepped forward to face Milo.
“Milo, the Pope was killed thirteen years ago. The one you now follow is an imposter, the true—”
“Silence! How dare you slander the Pope! Let me, Scorpio Milo, end your treacherous life! *Scarlet Needle!*”
Before Albiore could finish, Milo interrupted with his signature move. Knowing words alone wouldn’t convince Milo, Albiore was forced to unleash his full Cosmo and prepare for battle.
As Albiore held off Milo’s assault, the Crystal Saint, Marin, and the remaining Bronze Saints engaged Pisces Aphrodite.
However, before the fight could begin, Leo stepped forward, blocking them.
“You all help Albiore. I’ll handle him!”
Without Athena’s Cosmo to empower them, Seiya and the others had no chance of defeating a Gold Saint, even one ranked among the weakest, like Pisces Aphrodite. Leo couldn’t afford to lose their still-developing strength, so he decided to take on Aphrodite himself.
Facing someone like Aiolia might have been beyond his confidence, but against Aphrodite, Leo felt he had a solid chance.
“Be careful, Brother Leo!”
Seeing Leo’s firm stance, the others didn’t protest. They turned to assist Albiore in his fight against Milo.
Although Leo’s Cosmo wasn’t particularly strong, his wide array of techniques and superior raw power set him far above the others. He also had the Sagittarius Gold Cloth, which meant that even if he couldn’t win outright, he could hold off Aphrodite for a while. This would give the others time to help Albiore defeat Milo, and then they could gang up on Aphrodite together.
Aphrodite, biting a rose and displaying an air of vanity, noticed their plan but did nothing to stop it. Instead, he sneered at Leo with disdain.
“Hmph, you alone dare challenge me, the most beautiful warrior of the Sanctuary, Aphrodite? Utter foolishness!”
“Let’s find out,” Leo replied, no longer holding back. He activated his strongest form.
“Second Form! Sage Mode! Eight Gates, open! Burn, my Cosmo!”
In an instant, Leo’s aura transformed dramatically.
The once-calm Aphrodite now grew serious, much like Aiolia had earlier. Despite sensing Leo’s weak Cosmo, he couldn’t shake the ominous feeling that this man posed a real danger.
“In this world, power is justice. Take this—*Piranhan Rose!*”
With a wave of his hand, countless black roses imbued with powerful Cosmo shot toward Leo.
“*Sage Art: Night Guy!*”
Leo, knowing not to underestimate his opponent, transformed into a golden dragon and launched a fierce kick at Aphrodite.
*Boom!*
The impact sent shockwaves through the area, dispersing both the roses and the golden dragon. Leo staggered back seven steps before regaining his balance.
“As expected of a Gold Saint—truly formidable!”
This was Leo’s first time directly clashing with a Gold Saint’s special move, and even he couldn’t help but be impressed. Aphrodite was ranked among the weakest of the twelve Gold Saints, yet even his attacks were this powerful. Leo could only imagine how much stronger someone like Dohko or Saga must be.
“You actually blocked my *Piranhan Rose*? You do have some skill,” Aphrodite remarked, flicking his long hair as he started to take the fight more seriously.
But then, Leo said something that turned Aphrodite’s seriousness into rage.
“I’ve got to say, your technique isn’t that great. I broke through it with just one kick,” Leo taunted, while forming the hand signs for *Shadow Clone Jutsu*.
“Can you handle all four thousand of us?”
Suddenly, four thousand clones of Leo surrounded Aphrodite. Each one pointed at him and chanted, “*Expelliarmus!*”
“Illusionary tricks? Worthless! I can see through you. Only one of you has a real Cosmo,” Aphrodite sneered.
When he first saw the four thousand clones, he was briefly surprised. But then he quickly sensed that only one of them had a true Cosmo, and concluded that the rest were mere illusions.
“Your tricks won’t work with my Gold Cloth protecting me. This ends now! *Bloody Rose!*”
A white rose, much faster than the previous red and black roses, flew straight toward Leo.
“This is my ultimate technique, the *Bloody Rose*. No one has ever survived it. Once it strikes, it will drain all the blood from your body until you die.”
But instead of dodging, Leo smiled as the white rose pierced his heart.
Because at that very moment, Aphrodite was also struck by the four thousand *Expelliarmus* spells.
“What… what’s happening? My Cloth!”
Simultaneously hit by the disarming spell from four thousand directions, Aphrodite’s Gold Cloth shattered and scattered.
Leo, who had been waiting for this moment, teleported to each piece of the fallen Cloth, pulling out a scroll to quickly seal them with his sealing technique and tossing the pieces into his pouch.
Aphrodite, realizing what was happening, tried to stop him, but the four thousand clones all attacked again, this time with *Lightning Release: False Darkness*, unleashing four thousand lightning spears.
Without the protection of his Gold Cloth, Aphrodite was forced to defend himself with his light-speed punches against the onslaught of lightning spears.
