- MWM Chapter 374
“You’re here, Aries Mu, to pay respects to Athena!”
As the group arrived at the Aries Temple, Mu stepped out, accompanied by Kiki.
“I shall proceed to the next temple.”
Saori Kido nodded, holding her golden staff as she led the way toward the Taurus Temple.
“I will not allow anyone to trespass through this temple, by the name of Taurus Aldebaran!”
At the entrance to the Taurus Temple, Aldebaran, clad in his Taurus Gold Cloth, stood with arms crossed, blocking everyone’s path.
Mu stepped forward.
“Aldebaran, I believe I told you before. Do you still not believe?”
“Mu, as the guardian of the Taurus Temple, I cannot simply allow these people to pass without any proof. You must understand that.”
Aldebaran’s tone was firm as he looked at Mu. Though they were friends and Aldebaran trusted Mu, some matters could not be influenced by personal feelings. He couldn’t disobey the Pope’s orders without solid evidence.
“Aldebaran, if you are a true Saint, you should follow my lead and help us defeat Ares!”
At this moment, Saori Kido approached Aldebaran, holding her golden staff.
Aldebaran hesitated for a moment as he looked at Saori Kido.
“If you are truly Athena, then prove it. Otherwise, I cannot let you pass.”
“Is this proof enough?”
Saori Kido’s gaze sharpened, and in an instant, the vast cosmos within her surged out.
Feeling the overwhelming and warm cosmos of Athena, Aldebaran’s large eyes, akin to those of a bull, widened in shock. His voice trembled uncontrollably as he muttered:
“I… I have never felt such an immense and warm cosmos. Could she truly be Athena?”
“Aldebaran, stop being so stubborn. Following Athena and defeating the false Pope is your true duty as one of her Saints!”
At that moment, Leo also donned the Sagittarius Gold Cloth.
With Athena’s cosmos resonating, the constellations behind each Saint lit up.
“Sagittarius, Aries, Cepheus, Andromeda, Pegasus…”
Aldebaran glanced at each of the determined Saints standing behind Athena and thought about the Pope’s recent actions and the unrest in the Sanctuary.
He had found his answer.
“Taurus Aldebaran, I will follow Athena!”
Meanwhile, in the Pope’s chambers.
“Pope, the rebels have broken through the Taurus Temple. They are moving towards the Gemini Temple with Aldebaran and Mu.”
A Sanctuary soldier knelt and reported to Saga, who sat above.
Saga’s face contorted with rage, and he threw the cup in his hand to the floor.
“Traitors, all of them! The Aries and Taurus Temples dare to betray the Sanctuary. I will never forgive them!”
He hadn’t expected the golden arrow to miss Athena, allowing her to lead an invasion through the Twelve Temples, with both Mu and Aldebaran joining her ranks.
“This cannot continue. If it does, Athena’s side will only grow stronger.”
Though confident in his own strength, Saga wasn’t arrogant enough to believe he could defeat all the other Gold Saints on his own.
With Athena’s presence, those Saints who were already wavering would surely turn against him. Therefore, it was essential to end everything at the Gemini Temple.
“Shaka, Shura, Pandora, the sister of Hades, has stolen Athena’s staff and disguised herself as Athena, deceiving Mu, Aldebaran, and other Saints.
As the Pope, I command you to head to the Gemini Temple and eliminate Pandora and those traitors of the Sanctuary!”
Saga sent his telepathic order to Virgo Shaka and Capricorn Shura.
Since Milo’s attitude had noticeably shifted after returning from Andromeda Island, and his reports were riddled with gaps, Saga no longer trusted him.
Camus of Aquarius, being Milo’s close friend and mentor to the Crystal Saint, was also too closely linked to Cygnus Saint to rely on.
Leo Aiolia, brother to Sagittarius Aioros, was even less trustworthy. If he saw the Sagittarius Cloth and learned the truth, it wouldn’t take much to sway him.
Only Virgo Shaka and Capricorn Shura were his most trusted allies. Both were strong enough, and with the right preparation, they could likely end this rebellion quickly.
Even if they failed to defeat everyone, they could at least deal significant damage.
Afterward, he would personally finish Athena off, and the Sanctuary would still be his.
“Yes, Pope!”
Two voices—one emotionless, the other proud—simultaneously echoed in Saga’s mind.
“Up ahead is the Gemini Temple. For all these years, we’ve never seen the Gemini Saint, but I can sense a powerful cosmos there.”
Taurus Aldebaran led the group to the entrance of the Gemini Temple.
Mu followed, cautioning them.
“Be careful of the Gemini Temple. It’s been thirteen years since Gemini Saga last showed his face. Master Dohko and I suspect that the current false Pope is none other than Gemini Saga himself!”
Thirteen years ago, when Aioros ‘betrayed’ the Sanctuary and the cosmos of Shion disappeared, Saga also vanished from sight, but his cosmos had remained in the Gemini Temple.
It was hard not to suspect something.
“I wonder how Saga will respond. Will he confront us personally?”
Standing beside Athena, Leo silently pondered.
He knew full well that the false Pope was Saga. Now, he was curious whether Saga would personally appear, given that Athena had survived the arrow and had begun recruiting Gold Saints to her side.
Would Saga confront them at the Gemini Temple?
After all, if they continued gathering support like this, by the time they reached the Pope’s chamber, Saga would have no chance of winning.
However, the moment Leo stepped into the Gemini Temple, he realized how Saga intended to respond. He saw before him Virgo Shaka, the man closest to a god, and Capricorn Shura, wielding the famed Excalibur.
“Mu, Aldebaran, I can’t believe you’ve been deceived by Pandora of the Underworld. You’ve fallen to the side of the Underworld, unworthy of being Gold Saints!”
Before Mu and Aldebaran could even begin persuading them, Shura’s words struck them like lightning.
“That Saga sure knows how to brainwash people.”
Leo couldn’t help but twitch at the corners of his mouth. He hadn’t expected Saga to go as far as accusing Athena of being Pandora.
“Shaka, Shura, wake up! Stop being deceived by Ares!”
Saori Kido raised her golden staff, once again unleashing Athena’s cosmos.
