MWM Chapter 488

This entry is part 489 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

The Tenth Month of Wanda’s Pregnancy.

At this point, to prevent any unexpected incidents, Leo had moved Wanda into the hospital he owned to ensure she was under constant care.

“What? Someone else is pregnant too? You’re kidding!”

In the luxurious room on the hospital’s top floor, Wanda, her belly large with pregnancy, lay on the bed and curiously asked after seeing Leo hang up the phone:

“Who’s pregnant?”

“It’s Jane. Thor doesn’t have any experience with this, so he called me for some advice on what to look out for,” Leo replied with a smile, sitting down beside the bed.

Wanda had been pregnant for ten months, which meant Thor and Jane had been married for more than ten months now as well.

Considering it’s been over ten months since they got married, having a baby now was actually a bit late.

Thor, being an Asgardian, had little knowledge of what earthly women needed to be mindful of during pregnancy. After all, for Asgardians, even for women, pregnancy and childbirth were incredibly simple—easier than a chicken laying an egg.

Since Leo had some solid experience in this area, Thor called him for advice.

“That’s great! Now our little Charlie will have a playmate!” Wanda laughed upon hearing the news.

With their baby due soon, the name had already been decided.

Wanda had been watching a family sitcom recently and was particularly fond of a baby character named Charlie, so she decided to name their daughter Charlie as well.

Leo had no objections, considering names to be just labels. So, they decided their daughter would be named Charlie.

Why were they so sure it would be a girl?

With Leo’s soul power, a slight sense was enough to tell whether the baby in Wanda’s belly was a boy or a girl.

“And it won’t just be one playmate. Next month, Tony and Pepper are getting married. With their pace, it wouldn’t be surprising if Pepper is pregnant a few months from now.”

Tony had already called yesterday to inform Leo that he and Pepper were getting married next month.

This was actually several years earlier than the main timeline.

In the main timeline, Tony and Pepper got engaged in 2016, but now it was 2013, three years ahead of schedule.

Leo figured the main reason for this was that Tony, seeing that he was about to have a child, with Thor already married and Hawkeye enjoying family life, felt it was time to speed up his own marriage with Pepper.

As the two chatted, Wanda suddenly fell silent and then, with some uncertainty, said to Leo:

“Honey, I… I think it’s happening… I think I’m about to give birth!”

Upon hearing this, Leo immediately pressed the button next to the bed, and a loud alarm echoed through the hospital.

Within ten seconds, a group of doctors and nurses, who were on 24-hour standby, rushed into the room.

They quickly wheeled Wanda’s bed out of the room and into the specially prepared delivery room next door.

As Leo stood outside the delivery room, ready to rush in and use magic to help if anything went wrong, he soon heard the sound of a baby crying from inside.

Clearly, Wanda’s delivery went much smoother than he had expected.

Of course, after cultivating with him for so long, and with his own cultivation advancing, the benefits Wanda reaped had grown as well.

Wanda’s body, having been nourished by his true essence over time, was now not much different from that of an Asgardian, who could easily twist a knife with bare hands.

Thus, giving birth was far less painful for her than for an ordinary human woman.

“Ah! The baby is floating!”

Just as Leo let out a sigh of relief, he suddenly heard a commotion from inside the delivery room.

Rushing through the door, he saw a small baby, wrapped in cloth and crying, floating above the room.

“It’s a magical disturbance—it seems she’s inherited the witch’s bloodline.”

Children born with a witch’s bloodline often unintentionally use magic before they’ve learned to control it, affecting their surroundings.

They might float in the air, cause nearby objects to levitate, or make things disappear momentarily.

With a wave of his hand, Leo used telekinesis to bring baby Charlie gently into his arms, then used his spiritual senses to check her condition.

“Her cell count is twice that of a normal human. Everything else seems normal.”

Quickly, he reached his conclusion.

Not only had his daughter inherited his witch bloodline, but she had also inherited the ninja chakra constitution.

However, she hadn’t inherited his gene enhancements, healing abilities, cultivation powers, or Dragonborn bloodline.

But Leo was content with this. Learning magic from the witch world, ninja techniques, and the spells from *Elder Scrolls* would be more than enough for his daughter to protect herself in most situations.

If they ever faced an enemy like Thanos, he and Wanda would still be there to handle it.

And of course, who knew if his daughter would even want to learn these things in the future?

Perhaps she might be more interested in singing, dancing, or cheerleading. After all, they lived in the modern world, and not everyone wanted to be different.

Leo didn’t see anything wrong with that.

If little Charlie didn’t want to study magic or ninjutsu, she’d still be the heiress to the richest company in the world and could live a very happy life.

He didn’t want to control Charlie’s life or force her to become the person he envisioned. He just wanted her to be happy and enjoy life.

“Wanda, how are you feeling?”

Holding little Charlie, Leo approached the bed and lifted the seals that had been placed on Wanda.

Now that Charlie was born, they no longer had to worry about the influence of chaos magic, and Wanda could use her magic freely again.

“I feel great! Giving birth was easier than I expected. Let me see Charlie!”

Wanda’s face was glowing, clearly not feeling any weakness from the childbirth, only excitement as she took baby Charlie into her arms, her face brimming with motherly love.

“My little Charlie is so beautiful.”

“Yeah, you’re right.”

Leo looked at little Charlie, her face wrinkled and puffy from being in amniotic fluid for so long. He paused for two seconds, then nodded.

Newborns, after being in the amniotic sac, often looked wrinkled and swollen, not exactly cute at first glance. It would take some time for them to become the adorable babies people adored.

But to Wanda, her motherly instincts made her see Charlie as beautiful from the very start.

“New side quest: Prevent the Dark Elves from using the Aether to plunge the Nine Realms into darkness. Reward: One year in a small world.”

As the nurse took little Charlie to the incubator for oxygen, a new side quest appeared in Leo’s mind after a long silence.

“The Convergence of the Nine Realms, which happens once every 5,000 years, is about to begin?”

Checking the details of the quest, Leo did some quick calculations and realized that the timing was just right.

When he had visited the main timeline, he had looked up the specific date and knew that the Convergence would occur on November 15, 2013.

Three days prior, the Aether, hidden in the cracks of the Nine Realms, would appear in an abandoned building in London due to the nearing Convergence.

And today was November 1, 2013.
