MWM Chapter 515

This entry is part 516 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

After absorbing the memories and sensations from her shadow clone’s disappearance, Wanda, filled with excitement, was ready to create another shadow clone as if she had discovered a new world.

The essence of the Shadow Clone Technique is to split a fragment of one’s soul energy and fill it with chakra to create a physical clone.

When the clone disappears, that fragment of soul energy returns to the original body, bringing back all the memories and sensations experienced by the clone.

The clone’s disappearance doesn’t harm the soul, but if one creates too many clones, the sudden influx of memories can overwhelm most people’s minds, leading to mental collapse. This is why it’s classified as a forbidden technique.

However, if one’s mental strength is strong enough, they can completely ignore the drawbacks of the Shadow Clone Technique.

Wanda, as the chosen vessel of Chthon and with her chaos magic, naturally had no problem handling this, especially since she only created one clone.

Just moments ago, her sensation was akin to eating a slice of her favorite cake, where the pleasure of eating was instantly doubled.

No wonder Leo enjoyed using the Shadow Clone Technique before.

However, at that moment, a knock on the door interrupted them. Both quickly used magic to put on their pajamas and sat up on the bed, each wearing a warm and gentle smile.

The door opened, and nearly two-year-old Charlie entered, holding a stuffed doll in one hand and rubbing her eyes with the other. “Daddy, Mommy, I don’t want to sleep in a room by myself. I want to sleep with you.”

Because she inherited Leo’s bloodline, Charlie’s physical growth was much faster than that of other children her age. She could already run, jump, and speak fluently.

To encourage her independence, Leo and Wanda had given Charlie her own room.

But clearly, Charlie wasn’t quite ready to be on her own just yet.

Using her inherited magical abilities, Charlie floated up and landed between Leo and Wanda.

The couple exchanged a knowing smile, then held Charlie close as they all drifted into a peaceful sleep.

The next morning, the sun was shining brightly.

Leo sat in the garden, sipping tea while tapping on his smartwatch, entering his meditation state.

The smartwatch on his wrist was the latest creation of his scientific team—a portable, multifunctional nano-spiritual energy gathering device.

Thanks to the advanced nano-technology developed by Tony in 2023, Leo’s team managed to miniaturize the bulky spiritual energy gathering machine into a wristwatch.

Now, with a simple tap on the smartwatch, Leo could summon large amounts of spiritual energy to aid in his cultivation.

In addition to gathering spiritual energy, the smartwatch also boasted numerous high-tech features.

Leo even had his team integrate quantum space-time travel capabilities into the watch.

With this, he could theoretically travel to other timelines whenever he wanted.

Of course, he wasn’t planning to do that lightly, as too much interference in other timelines could trigger a chain reaction. Besides, he wasn’t entirely sure if the Time Variance Authority had taken care of the male or female Loki variants.

In the garden, Wanda, Laura, Betty, Pepper, and Jane were all playing with their children.

Over the past year, each of the moms had given birth to their own kids.

Thor and Jane’s son, Soren, was over a year old. He inherited Thor’s lightning abilities and the powerful physique of the Asgardians. Even now, he could easily lift objects weighing over a hundred pounds with one hand.

Tony and Pepper’s daughter, Morgan, was ten months old—a perfectly normal and adorable human baby girl.

Bruce Banner and Betty had a son who was seven months old. He inherited Banner’s Hulk gene, being born with green skin and even greater strength than Soren.

But despite his size and strength, he was a gentle and calm baby.

Lastly, Laura’s child was a boy, just a normal human baby.

In addition to the mothers and their children, there were also many magical creatures Leo had released into the garden to play with the kids.

There were the teleporting Demiguise, the adorable Pygmy Puffs, the mischievous Nifflers, and the sweet Bowtruckles, all creating a magical environment.

“You’re back. Did something happen at the base?”

While meditating, Leo noticed Tony, Barton, and a few others arriving through a spatial gate he had set up. With a smile, he asked them what was going on.

The group had just rushed to the base after receiving a call from Captain America.

“Nothing major,” Tony replied with a shrug. “Just some guy who can shrink himself—name’s Scott—tried to sneak into the base to steal something but got caught by Rogers.”

As Leo listened, he realized that the Avenger known as Ant-Man, Scott Lang, had finally made his appearance.

Scott used to be an electronics expert. One night, he broke into his corrupt company and rerouted stolen funds back to their rightful owners using his tech skills. But he got caught because he couldn’t resist driving his boss’s car into the swimming pool as he left.

After serving his sentence, Scott struggled to find a job due to his criminal record and couldn’t make enough money to pay child support, which he needed to earn visitation rights for his daughter, Cassie Lang.

Enticed by a monetary reward, Scott was recruited by the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym, to take up the mantle of Ant-Man and thwart the evil plans of Hank’s former student, Darren Cross.

The reason Scott broke into the Avengers base was to retrieve a piece of technology—a signal disruptor created by Pym—that was stored there, which was the base’s most secure technology.

“So, did you guys let him go?” Leo asked with a smile.

Tony shrugged again. “Yeah, we let him go. He didn’t mean any harm; he just wanted to get back what belonged to him in the first place.

Plus, Rogers thought he had potential and wanted to recruit him for the Avengers. Scott idolizes Rogers, so he agreed to join us once he wraps up his own business.”

“Side Quest Unlocked:

1. Help Ant-Man Scott defeat Yellowjacket Darren Cross. Reward: One month of Small World time.

2. Help Dr. Pym rescue his wife, the Wasp, Janet van Dyne, and defeat the exiled Conqueror Kang. Reward: One year of Small World time.”

As Leo spoke to Tony, he realized he had triggered a new side quest.

“A year and one month—that’s definitely worth doing,” Leo thought, smiling to himself.

Since his recent power boost, many of his previous daily side quests had vanished.

Now, to gain more Small World time, he had to rely on these story-related quests.

Although he had accumulated a good amount of Small World time thanks to his past efforts, he regularly checked on all the worlds he visited, and the time was steadily being consumed.

With new worlds to explore in the future, he knew he’d eventually run out of Small World time if he didn’t keep adding to his reserve.

For Leo, Small World time was now an essential resource, and every bit he could get counted.

“Li Liu, have Daisy find the location of Dr. Hank Pym’s house, and send me the address,” Leo instructed through his smartwatch.

Within less than a minute, Daisy Johnson, one of the world’s top hackers, found Dr. Hank Pym’s residence and forwarded the address to Leo, complete with architectural blueprints.
