MWM Chapter 586

This entry is part 587 of 599 in the series In Marvel: I Start by Marying Scarlett Witch

After hearing Leo’s proposal, Taiyi Zhenren and Yuding Zhenren hesitated.

“Li Qing, you must understand that the Heavenly Court isn’t as simple as it seems. The Jade Emperor, as the ruler of the Three Realms, can still summon powerful allies if he sets aside his pride.”

“Master, Uncle, if we don’t agree now, Yang Jian and Nezha will eventually act on their own, which would be even more troublesome. With me watching over them, if we truly can’t win, we can at least escape.”

Leo transmitted his thoughts.

The two Zhenrens pondered and realized the validity of his point. They couldn’t possibly monitor their disciples forever.

“Wait a moment.”

Both Taiyi Zhenren and Yuding Zhenren began calculating the potential outcomes and, seeing no signs of a fatal calamity, nodded in agreement.

Leo then turned to the Yang siblings:

“This attack on the Heavenly Court will center on you three. Train diligently. Once you reach the Golden Immortal level, we will begin the assault and rescue your mother!”

The plan was to make the rescue of their mother the focal point of the attack. Leo and Nezha would merely be friends of the Yang siblings, posing as wandering cultivators.

A significant gap in cultivation levels could raise suspicion.

Leo’s words were also meant to motivate the siblings, pushing them to quickly enhance their skills.

The disciples of the Chan Sect would remain in seclusion on Kunlun for seven years, and within that time, they had to complete the rescue mission. Once the great events of the Investiture of the Gods began, it would be too late.

“Don’t worry, Senior Brother. We will train hard!”

The Yang siblings nodded resolutely.

Under the guidance of Taiyi and Yuding Zhenren, the Yang siblings entered secluded cultivation in Jin Guang Cave, while Yang Tianyou stayed there as well.

Leo and Nezha returned to Chentang Pass.

While the siblings needed several years to strengthen themselves, Leo couldn’t afford to waste this time.

He planned to network with immortals and demons across the Four Seas to prepare for the future Investiture of the Gods.

The assault on the Heavenly Court aimed to gain the Peach of Immortality and Laojun’s elixirs to boost his power. The Investiture of the Gods was an opportunity to achieve sainthood.

The Investiture of the Gods was a battle that even saints eventually joined. Many powerful figures perished, entering the list of deities, and numerous opportunities and treasures emerged.

During his decade under Yuding Zhenren’s tutelage, Leo learned about several recognized paths to sainthood in this world:

1. **Proving the Dao through Strength:**

Mastery of one of the 3,000 Great Dao to its utmost extent leads to sainthood.

2. **Three Corpses Method:**

Severing one’s good, evil, and self-natures, using innate spiritual treasures to anchor them, results in sainthood.

3. **Sainthood through Merit:**

Accumulating great merit, complemented by primordial violet qi, leads to sainthood.

4. **World Creation Method:**

Creating and nurturing a small world, evolving life within, and growing its essence until it becomes a grand world grants sainthood.

For Leo, the first three methods were impractical. Even if feasible, they would require millennia of cultivation.

The fourth method, however, was different. He had already created a complete small world, and life had begun to evolve within it. All he needed to do was continue enhancing its essence.

How to enhance this essence?

This led back to the innate spiritual treasures present in the Investiture of the Gods.

By acquiring more treasures and integrating them into his world, achieving sainthood would be within reach.

Daoist Randeng had ascended by capturing Zhao Gongming’s twenty Dinghai Pearls, transforming them into twenty-four heavens.

“Ten years have passed.”

At Chentang Pass, Leo watched the countdown on his interface end, and his surroundings shifted back to his home in the main Marvel universe.

“Seven years for seclusion, fifteen for the Investiture of the Gods—twenty-two years total. Looks like I need more small world time.”

Though time passed slower in the Heavenly Court—one day there equaled a year on Earth—Leo didn’t want to miss crucial events by accelerating time there. It was better to stockpile more time in his small world.

He still had nearly ten years left but needed at least twelve more. This wasn’t a significant problem for him. While there were no major events in the main Marvel universe to earn small world time, plenty existed in other universes.

And he had Kang the Conqueror’s time-traveling ship capable of visiting any universe at any time.

After spending two months with his family, Leo embarked on a multiversal journey aboard Kang’s ship.

In the Spider-Verse, Venomverse, X-Men Universe, and Zombie Universe, leveraging his knowledge of the plots and his formidable power, he triggered and completed numerous tasks, amassing significant small world time.

In the X-Men Universe, absorbing Jean Grey’s Phoenix Force further fortified his world, propelling him to the peak of the Taiyi Golden Immortal level through its feedback.

Three months later, Leo returned to his universe.

By then, he had accumulated thirty years of small world time, more than enough to endure the Investiture of the Gods.

“One month left. Might as well collect this, too.”

Without rushing back to the *The Lotus Lantern* prequel world, Leo revisited the Celestial embryo within Earth’s core.

The Celestial embryo had fully formed, awaiting the absorption of all life and energy on Earth to hatch as a true Celestial.

The stronger he was before the Investiture of the Gods, the better his chances of seizing opportunities from the great powers.

After all, the Investiture of the Gods battle in the *The Lotus Lantern* world differed from the canonical *Investiture of the Gods*.

In the canonical version, the battle ended with many figures from the Three Sects joining the Western Sect—becoming Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and disciples of the West.

However, in the *The Lotus Lantern* world, the Western Sect already existed before the battle. Figures like the Buddha, Guanyin, and Jin Chanzi were present before the conflict.

Therefore, the battle focused on the Chan Sect versus the Jie Sect, with the spoils mainly going to Chan Sect disciples, including many of Leo’s uncles and senior brothers.

Without enough strength, he would have no chance of gaining any benefits.

The Celestials, as universe builders, embodied the essence of life. Absorbing one would greatly aid Leo’s progression to the Great Luo Golden Immortal level.

As for the Prime Celestial… no matter.

Taking the embryo, he would retreat to the *The Lotus Lantern* world. Upon returning, his power would likely undergo a significant leap, enabling him to face even the Prime Celestial head-on.

Besides, protecting Earth as a native was justifiable, wasn’t it?

“Absorb!”

Activating his Mangekyō Sharingan, Leo absorbed the Celestial embryo into his Moon-Reading world, sealing it temporarily.

After securing it, he quickly returned to the *The Lotus Lantern* world.

Meanwhile, in a distant corner of the universe, the Prime Celestial, who was creating a new sun, sensed the sudden disappearance of Earth’s Celestial embryo.

“Tiamut’s presence… vanished!”

Originally planning to welcome the newly born Tiamut after completing the sun, the Prime Celestial was now left stunned.
