OKSTS Chapter 22

**Chapter 22: The Goddess Class Rep’s Inner Thoughts**

Alice had been to the Hive before.

And had managed to escape from it.

So she was relatively familiar with the Hive’s layout.

With Alice leading the way, the three of them smoothly entered the Hive.

Suddenly, the surroundings became pitch black.

Fang Ye grew more cautious.

Having watched the storyline, he knew the Hive was incredibly dangerous.

Although he was strong, there was still a chance he could slip up and fail if he wasn’t careful!

“Be careful. If Umbrella Corporation’s main headquarters really is here, this place is going to be very dangerous,” Fang Ye reminded them.

Even though he had tricked Alice and Carlos into becoming his pawns.

If possible, Fang Ye didn’t want Alice to die here.

Because Alice was the main character!

If she died, unexpected complications might arise.

Upon hearing Fang Ye’s reminder, both Alice and Carlos nodded seriously.

They were not reckless people and understood Fang Ye’s words made sense.

From then on.

The three carefully explored, searching for the path to the deepest part of the Hive…

Meanwhile.

In another part of the 2nd restricted area, a group of students from Martial Saint Academy found themselves surrounded by zombies.

“I’m out of bullets!”

“I’m out too.”

“It’s over, we’re going to die here!”

“I don’t want to die! I’ve never even had a boyfriend, waaah…”

The sound of gunfire had attracted even more zombies, surrounding the students from all sides.

The group had run out of ammunition and was trapped, on the verge of despair.

If nothing unexpected happened, it seemed they were doomed.

Just as they were about to lose hope, suddenly—

*Whoosh!*

An arrow flew through the air, hitting a zombie square in the head.

Then, more arrows followed, each hitting their target perfectly.

Not a single arrow missed!

The students were stunned.

“What are you waiting for? Hurry up and come over here!” a crisp voice called out, snapping them back to their senses.

They realized that the person who had come to their rescue had cleared a path through the zombies for them to escape.

With the chance to survive, the students wasted no time and scrambled to flee.

Moments later.

The group found themselves in a nearby building, finally safe from danger.

It was only then that they saw clearly who had saved them.

“Class rep!!”

“I can’t believe the class rep saved us.”

“Thank goodness.”

“Your archery skills are amazing, class rep!”

Seeing Su Ziqiu, the class rep, the students couldn’t hide their excitement.

They were in awe of her archery, gazing at her with admiration.

Especially the boys, who now looked at her not just with admiration but with a hint of something more…

But Su Ziqiu remained calm as she looked at them.

“I’m glad you’re safe. There’s still a long way to go, so be careful from now on.”

With that, Su Ziqiu turned and left.

If this had been before, Su Ziqiu would have likely stayed with her classmates, helping them complete tasks together and offering mutual support.

However.

After Fang Ye’s supposed sacrifice…

Su Ziqiu’s heart.

Had grown much colder.

She didn’t want to form any deep connections with others anymore.

Because in her mind, the image of a determined and selfless figure lingered, refusing to fade…

Back in the Hive.

So far, the exploration had gone smoothly.

The three soon reached the core of the Hive.

A transparent corridor now stood in their way.

Fang Ye was about to step forward when Alice suddenly remembered something and quickly warned him, “Be careful, Fang, this corridor is very dangerous!”

“Oh?”

Fang Ye paused, taking a closer look at the corridor.

After a moment.

He finally recalled what this corridor was.

The laser trap corridor!

In *Resident Evil 1*, this corridor had claimed many lives.

“I’ll go first and turn off the system,” Alice said.

Fang Ye remained outwardly calm but was laughing inwardly.

Alice really was a perfect pawn.

Since she volunteered, Fang Ye, of course, wouldn’t refuse.

Carlos wanted to say something but ultimately held back, simply reminding Alice, “Be careful.”

Alice nodded and stepped into the laser trap corridor.

As soon as she walked a few steps.

The previously calm corridor suddenly reacted.

At the far end of the corridor, a hot white laser beam swiftly formed.

It seemed that just stepping into the corridor triggered the defense mechanisms.

The white laser beam sped toward Alice, and in the blink of an eye, it was right in front of her.

Its trajectory was set to slice right through Alice’s neck if she didn’t dodge!

Alice, of course, wasn’t about to just stand there.

She displayed remarkable agility, dodging one laser trap after another.

Several times, the lasers nearly hit her, coming within a hair’s breadth of decapitating her!

Fang Ye watched with admiration.

Though he could have handled the situation even better and faster than Alice.

He had to admit, Alice’s reflexes and agility were impressive, far beyond those of an average person.

A few moments later.

Alice successfully made it through the laser corridor and turned off the system.

“It’s safe now, you can come over!”

At her signal, Fang Ye and Carlos walked through the corridor.

When they reached Alice, they saw her frowning, looking concerned.

“Alice, what’s wrong?” Carlos asked.

“This place was supposed to have been abandoned, yet the power systems are still operational. Something’s not right!” Alice replied, her tone serious.

Carlos understood what Alice was implying.

“You’re saying someone’s keeping this place running?”

Alice nodded and looked at Fang Ye. “It seems your intel was right after all.”

Fang Ye pretended to analyze the situation, saying, “It seems like we’re in real danger now. Umbrella’s top executives have probably noticed us, and they won’t let us get any closer without a fight.”

As soon as he finished speaking.

A monstrous roar echoed from the depths of the Hive…

“Roooaaaarrr!!”
