RWWOKS Chapter 162

This entry is part 163 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

With a soft leap down from the railing, Ares made a dramatic entrance, greeted by gasps from the crowd.

“It’s him.” Fang Bo’s gaze sharpened, recalling this person well. As a wielder of a legendary talent, Ares was unforgettable for his unusual abilities.

[ID#10932 (Great Demon)]

[Attack Inclination: Low]

[Attribute Focus: Strength, Constitution, Agility]

[Special Trait: Muscle Balloon (Legendary)]

[Threat Assessment: A Match of Equals]

According to the rumors, Ares could manipulate his muscles freely, like a version of the infamous Toguro. There was even talk he might be the strongest in raw strength among all in this spatial war. But could he possibly match Lee’s power?

Watching Lee’s earlier performance, Fang Bo doubted that Ares had more than a 30% chance to win. Unless Lee underestimated him and suffered a major blow before releasing his Eight Gates, which would require some forewarning that Ares clearly didn’t have. Ares had no idea about Lee’s trump card and thus didn’t unleash his full strength right away.

“I’ll start with just 20% of my power,” Ares declared, his body swelling to a massive, muscular form, akin to Schwarzenegger’s physique.

This was Ares’s unique ability: the “Muscle Balloon,” which allowed him to increase his muscle mass at will.

**Muscle Balloon (Legendary):** Through muscle expansion, he can boost his strength by a proportional factor.

With 20% of his power released, his already terrifying attributes multiplied by a factor of 1.2. Unlike Fang Bo’s growth-based abilities, Ares’s trait granted an immediate and substantial increase in combat power.

Casually flicking a small stone, Ares sent it bullet-like toward Lee. Lee, known for his precise judgment in physical confrontations, dodged low the moment he saw Ares raise his hand. Closing in on his opponent, he aimed a Leaf Hurricane kick to bring the fight to a swift end.

However, his foot struck Ares’s body like it had hit a wall, rebounding back with no effect. Agile as ever, Lee evaded a follow-up grab but saw that each of his attempts made no impact.

Observing this, Might Guy signaled to Lee that he could remove his leg weights. Having seen Neji’s earlier injury, Guy wasn’t eager to see his student hurt. He also felt confident that Lee would defeat this opponent.

“Oh, Guy-sensei, I’ll make you proud!” Lee exclaimed, his excitement growing as he prepared to shed his weights.

However, he overlooked a crucial point. Unlike Gaara, this opponent wouldn’t let him act freely.

For reincarnators like Ares, battle meant life or death, with no room for “fight aesthetics.” Catching Lee mid-action, Ares launched forward like a cannonball, pressing a firm hand against Lee’s chest, pinning him firmly in place.

“Cheater!” Naruto shouted from the sidelines, to which the crowd only responded with jeers. Even Guy was silent, knowing that there was technically nothing wrong with the move. Shinobi were not known for playing fair.

“Gotcha,” Ares smirked, holding Lee firmly, who could barely move under his grip.

[Skill Activated: Capture Cannon, Grip Successful!]

[Ares’s Strength: 38, Target Strength: 30, Grip Effect Confirmed]

[Strength Check Passed, Target Immobilized, Unable to Use Medicine]

With a brief surge of energy, Ares launched Lee into the air, a cannon-like burst of force blasting him backward. Lee hit the ground hard, coughing up blood as he struggled to stand.

On the railing, Fang Bo silently scoffed at Ares. If it had been him, he would have gone all out to incapacitate the opponent, knowing this was an ideal chance to defeat Lee. Instead, Ares had held back, likely not wanting to reveal his full hand too early.

*Bang!* With his leg weights off, Lee’s speed skyrocketed, his agile movements taking him right to Ares’s side faster than anyone anticipated.

In a flash, he struck, sending Ares spinning toward the wall with a powerful punch.

Flexing his sore fist, Lee commented, “That’s some solid muscle you’ve got there.”

“…Impressive,” Ares replied, acknowledging Lee’s strength. With his words, his muscles writhed and twisted, swelling even more into a monstrous build.

**Power Released: 50%!**

Ares now had a frightening 48 in Strength. He pulled out a handful of reinforced steel pellets, launching one toward Lee’s face with the force of a bullet.

Dodging instinctively, Lee barely avoided the shot but felt a sting as blood dripped onto his clothing. “What a terrifying guy,” he muttered, speaking for everyone present.

To avoid more steel shots, Lee began circling his opponent rapidly, preparing to use his Front Lotus technique. But as he wrapped his bandages around Ares to launch him into the air, Ares unexpectedly tore the wraps apart with sheer strength. Taking Lee’s kick head-on, he grabbed Lee’s waist with both hands, charging toward the nearby wall like a raging bull.

[Skill Activated: Savage Tackle, Grab Successful!]

[Ares’s Strength: 48, Target Strength: 30, Grip Effect Confirmed]

[Strength Check Passed, Target Immobilized, Unable to Use Medicine]

Lee was helpless against Ares’s iron grip. But just as he felt his life in jeopardy, he remembered—he could release his inner limits.

The First Gate: Open!

The Second Gate: Rest!

The Third Gate: Life!

In a matter of seconds, Lee had unlocked three gates, allowing him to break slightly free from Ares’s hold.

“Still… not enough…”

With the wall looming closer, a green energy suddenly surged around Lee.

“Fourth Gate, Gate of Pain, open!”

Harnessing the sudden increase in chakra, Lee broke free of Ares’s hold, sending him flying backward.

The Eight Gates technique allowed the release of chakra limitations within the body by opening specific chakra points, multiplying chakra output to staggering levels. These chakra points—Gate of Opening, Rest, Life, Pain, Limit, View, Wonder, and Death—are known collectively as the “Eight Gates.”

Why is Eight Gates Lee considered a Tier 0 fighter? Because, except for Gaara, no one could withstand his relentless barrage in the Eight Gates mode. Even Ares, with his legendary trait, wasn’t an exception.

“I’m coming at you,” Lee announced.

Giving his opponent no time to react, Lee dashed up to Ares and sent him hurtling into the sky with a powerful punch. Lee then followed him upward with a burst from his legs, striking Ares with another heavy blow.

“Your muscles are tough,” Lee remarked. “But right now, I’m stronger than you!”

*Bam bam bam!*

A relentless barrage of punches and kicks followed, with Ares helpless against Lee’s assault, unable to recover or counterattack.

“What? I can’t die here!” Desperate, Ares used his saved-up attribute points to boost all three of his primary stats, triggering a frantic wave of muscle growth that propelled him into his strongest form.

Power release, 60%!

With his strength now reaching a staggering 53 points, far beyond the limits of a second-tier world, Ares felt a moment of hope for a comeback. But all his efforts crumbled as Lee took his abilities even further.

“Fifth Gate, Gate of Limit, open!”

*Hidden Lotus!*

Lee’s final move drove Ares into the ground with such force that it left a deep crater, scattering his once superhuman muscles into fragments.

Yet, Ares was still alive, clinging to life with the resilience his enhanced muscles granted him. Recognizing his limits, he raised a hand to signal his surrender.

With that, Round 2 concluded, and Lee advanced to the next round!

As Genma Shiranui declared the result, the crowd remained silent, still processing what they had witnessed.

“This… is he really a Tier 1 reincarnator?”

“Incredible, his speed must be at least 50 points.”

“He’s in a whole different league from the rest of us.”

“This world of Naruto is way too intense…”

“I want to go home, guys…”

The spectators’ reactions varied from awe to frustration, with some secretly gloating. The reason was simple: Ares was the strongest fighter in the Mist Village camp, and his defeat was a huge blow to his team. If it weren’t for the Quincies they still had, many of his campmates would have wanted to give up on this spatial war altogether.

“Serves them right—what goes around comes around.”

At the beginning, the Mist’s Long Xuan had gone around exploiting his stealth abilities to rob and attack others, leaving everyone else simmering with resentment. But now that the tables had turned, it was the Mist team that had to worry about their ranking points.

If Long Xuan, the Quincy, was also defeated, the Mist camp’s morale would crumble.

Hoping for some bad luck for Long Xuan next, the crowd watched as he drew Nara Shikamaru as his opponent. Shikamaru’s Shadow Possession ability was strong, but the information about it had been leaked, leaving him powerless against a flying opponent. As expected, he surrendered, allowing Long Xuan to proceed to the third round.

“Ugh, that guy got lucky,” one onlooker muttered in frustration.

Despite their disappointment, the onlookers shifted their focus to the next battle.

Soon, the next name was called, belonging to the Iwagakure camp’s mechanized fighter, Viktor.

*Bang!*

A jet of flame erupted from Viktor’s propulsion system as he glided down to the center of the arena, the metallic blade on his arm glinting as he turned to face the Sand camp.

“Well? Get down here.”

A faint smile appeared on Fang Bo’s face as he activated his hover acceleration, leaping into the air with a similar display of entry.

For the second round, he was up against a powerhouse opponent, a fact that filled him with excitement.

Golden ripples began to shimmer around him, his arsenal of weapons at the ready.

“Don’t disappoint me,” Viktor replied, activating his flamethrowers as he hovered a few feet above the ground, surrounded by a fierce red aura.

With both warriors poised, every eye was fixed on the two as they prepared for battle.

Genma Shiranui took a few steps back, raising his hand before slicing it downward.

“Let the match begin!”
