- The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline
- RWWOKS Chapter 190
Seeing Dairon’s intimidating demeanor, everyone in the room exchanged uneasy glances.
The cold, oppressive air around her, practically screaming “keep away,” was enough to make even the lively Yao Yao hesitant to greet her.
Neither Yao Yao nor Ryuno knew Dairon, so the two could only sit awkwardly, casting pleading glances at Fang Bo.
Even Ari felt a shiver down his spine. He couldn’t help but think, She wasn’t this scary the last time we met.
Catching their silent hints, Fang Bo coughed lightly and asked, “What’s with you?”
“Me?” Dairon looked around, her gaze briefly sweeping over Ryuno’s face before she naturally seated herself beside Fang Bo. “I’m fine. Just tell me what you called me for.”
Yet no one in the room felt she was “fine.”
Many reincarnators had mental scars from being constantly on the edge of life and death, but Dairon’s aura of hostility was on another level, as if she might explode at any moment.
For perceptive individuals, Dairon was a ticking time bomb.
If combat weren’t forbidden in private spaces, Ryuno would never dare sit so close to her.
“Actually, I—” Fang Bo started to explain, but was interrupted by the arrival of their final guest.
[ID 13810 requests access to your private space.]
“Forget it. Let’s wait until he’s here so I can explain everything together.”
Shortly after, Olsen entered the room.
His sharp eyes scanned each person before he took a seat to Fang Bo’s left.
“Uh…” Ryuno looked puzzled as she recognized him.
Isn’t this the reincarnator from the Navy faction? She remembered hearing he was a rising star in the Nest of Sound team.
Then again, Ryuno herself was now a rising star too, so she no longer felt intimidated by him.
This realization brightened her mood significantly.
After repaying his 3,000-point debt, Fang Bo still had about 20,000 Story Points left.
Story Points: 21,484
“Made a fortune, have you?” Olsen turned toward Fang Bo, his gaze heavy, revealing his inner tension. Clearly, something was troubling him, likely an issue back at the orphanage.
“Not too bad,” Fang Bo replied casually. Then, addressing the group, he said, “I called you all here for two reasons.”
“First, I’ve got a lot of useful items. Let’s see if you’re interested in any of them.”
With that, he displayed his inventory for everyone to see.
Most of the items were met with mild interest, but the Summoning Jutsu caught Ryuno’s eye—it seemed tailor-made for her.
Ever since Ubume became her companion, Ryuno had been searching for a new summon but hadn’t found a suitable one. The Slug Summon, however, was perfect: versatile, capable of both offense and defense, and able to secrete powerful acidic fluids when provoked.
More importantly, it could perfectly adapt to the energy traits of its summoner.
When used by Tsunade or Sakura, it became an unparalleled mobile healer. In Ryuno’s case, the slugs could serve as mediums for her onmyōdō, possibly even turning into explosive talismans.
Seeing no one else interested, Ryuno secured the skill for a friendly price of 1,400 Story Points.
Though the Slug Summon might seem unassuming, its potential was enormous—after all, even Tsunade couldn’t summon its full body.
Fang Bo wasn’t concerned. A stronger Ryuno meant a stronger ally, which could only benefit him in future battles.
He’d need all the help he could get when advancing to a second-tier world and facing the orphanage head-on. Allies to draw fire would be essential for his strategy of systematically eliminating enemies.
Ryuno had just been promoted to Cannon Fodder #1.
Ari, meanwhile, picked the Hades Release: Absorption Void skill, finding its ability to redirect enemy techniques invaluable for his mana-draining combat style.
Olsen opted for Flight Technique, paying 500 Story Points. He seemed intent on combining it with another movement skill.
Fang Bo, curious, hoped to see how this B-rank mobility skill performed when enhanced.
The remaining skills, Wave Beam and Lightning Serpent, drew little interest. Eventually, Ryuno bought them both as a bundle for 600 Story Points, likely intending to resell them.
With her large team, Ryuno could easily set up shop during downtime and turn a tidy profit.
The Dead Bone Pulse Bloodline was the highlight of the offerings, and everyone coveted it. Who wouldn’t want such a powerful melee weapon in their arsenal?
Unfortunately, neither Dairon nor Ari was suitable for it—they hadn’t yet fully mastered their current abilities.
“If no one wants it, I’ll take it,” Yao Yao chimed in, her expression hinting at something more.
Fang Bo caught her meaning. If no one here claimed it, she intended to gift it to her sister.
Even in second-tier worlds, the Dead Bone Pulse was an excellent bloodline choice.
Yao Yao’s sister, though unseen, had long been a mysterious source of off-screen support. Selling the bloodline to her wasn’t a bad idea.
After some deliberation, the others deferred to Yao Yao, who gleefully pocketed the bloodline for 3,700 Story Points.
“Wow, she’s loaded,” the others thought silently, their gazes toward Yao Yao shifting slightly.
Story Points: 28,384
As for Fang Bo, even after settling his debts, he still had nearly 30,000 Story Points left—plenty for future skill upgrades.
“You said there were two things,” Ryuno reminded him.
With the trades complete, Fang Bo explained his conflict with the Nest of Sound and how Ragu, the Power King, was hunting him.
While the others nodded in understanding, Ryuno and Yao Yao, hearing this for the first time, were incensed. They immediately declared their intent to accompany him to the King of Fighters world.
“It’s no use,” Olsen interjected after a long silence. “The invitation can only be used by one person. That world is a stronghold for the Nest of Sound; outsiders would find it nearly impossible to intervene.”
He paused, his gaze sweeping the room before settling on Fang Bo. “I don’t know the details of your conflict, but I’ll give you this advice: think carefully before you act.”
“The orphanage isn’t just another reincarnator team. Angering them comes with consequences far beyond what you’ve encountered before.”
Thud!
Dairon’s boot hit the floor heavily as she rose, her icy glare locking onto Olsen. “I’ve wanted to ask since I walked in—who is this annoying guy?”
“And what gives you the right to question our relationships?”
Not done yet, she mocked Olsen’s warning: “Some people may be scared witless by the orphanage, but that doesn’t mean everyone else is as spineless as you.”
Olsen knew there were two people in the room who had previously attacked the orphanage with their comrades.
Judging by her attitude, Dairon had to be one of them.
“I admire your spirit,” Olsen said, a flicker of flame igniting on his arm as he stood and looked down at her with arrogance. “But I wonder—are your fists as tough as your mouth?”
“Interesting,” Dairon replied without hesitation, rising to meet him. Her killing intent was so sharp it seemed to freeze the air. “Let’s see if your so-called orphanage is really as terrifying as they say—or if it’s just full of cowards.”
The tension between the two was palpable, and it was clear that this wasn’t going to end with just an argument.
“Big Brother, I think they’re about to fight…” Yao Yao said, a little worried, as she quietly reached out to steal the sandwich from Fang Bo’s plate.
“Don’t worry.”
Watching the two escalate into a full-on duel challenge, Fang Bo shrugged. As long as it didn’t turn into a life-or-death battle, he was fine with it.
The best way to earn mutual respect was to display strength.
Since they were all going to be on the same team in the future, it was better to air out grievances openly now. A fiery clash was far healthier than letting frustrations fester and turn into something more dangerous later.
Once Olsen initiated the challenge, a glowing portal appeared in front of them.
On the other side was a massive, ten-kilometer-wide arena—plenty of space for the two to go wild.
Finishing his now-cool soy milk, Fang Bo clapped his hands and said, “Let’s go. We should watch this.”
By the time the three of them strolled into the arena, Olsen and Dairon were already exchanging blows.
Olsen, with his maxed-out Agility stat, moved so quickly that his figure became a blur, nearly impossible to track.
Except for Dairon, of course.
With her Three-Tomoe Sharingan activated, every detail of Olsen’s movements was perfectly clear to her.
“Is this all you’ve got?” With a slight flick of her wrist, several shuriken whistled through the air.
The shuriken collided at key points in the space around Olsen, creating a web of paths that completely cut off his movements.
In a split second, Olsen was set to crash headfirst into her trap.
But even as danger closed in, Olsen’s expression remained utterly calm, as if he didn’t even notice the approaching threat.
At the last possible moment, just before the shuriken closed their trap, Dairon’s pupils constricted in shock.
He disappeared.
It wasn’t until the searing heat from behind hit her senses that she realized what had happened.
“Is this arrogant attitude of yours because of those eyes?”
Using a B-rank movement skill with speeds so high even the Sharingan couldn’t track him, Olsen had turned her greatest asset into a liability.
Olsen couldn’t stand her smug attitude, so he had decided to strike at her pride.
MAX: Heat Drive!
Flames gathered into Olsen’s hands, glowing with ferocious intensity. Without hesitation, he unleashed his fully leveled ultimate move.
Having honed his skills across two worlds, Olsen’s power was now on a completely different level.
If this attack landed, Dairon’s fragile frame wouldn’t stand a chance. While it might not outright kill her, it would likely leave her incapacitated.
But Olsen failed to notice a subtle shift in the pattern of Dairon’s Sharingan.
Just as his flame-clad hand was about to connect, a white skeletal ribcage appeared out of nowhere, wrapping around Dairon like armor.
Bang!
The ribcage cracked under the force of the blow, and Dairon was sent flying over ten meters. She landed heavily, looking battered but relatively unharmed.
This was the initial form of Susanoo.
Thanks to a rare piece of equipment she’d obtained in the previous world, Dairon had finally unlocked the ability to partially manifest her ocular powers.
For now, she could only activate the base form—just the ribcage and arms. The higher stages of Susanoo were still out of reach.
Realizing the threat Olsen posed, Dairon knew she couldn’t give him another chance to attack.
As a tear of blood slid down her cheek, her Mangekyō Sharingan began to spin rapidly.
On the other side, Olsen finally dropped his earlier arrogance.
For someone to block his full-powered Heat Drive, they had to have real substance behind their bravado.
Still, the fight was far from over. Olsen had more cards to play, and if Dairon thought this was enough to secure victory, she was gravely mistaken.
A chilling aura began to seep from his body as his demeanor shifted.
He was preparing to activate the Blood of the Serpent, amplifying his power even further.
No matter what abilities Dairon had, Olsen was determined to emerge victorious.
Just as the two prepared to unleash their ultimate moves, Fang Bo gently landed between them.
“Stop.”
However, neither seemed inclined to listen to his command.
“Oh, still want to fight?” Seeing his authority ignored, Fang Bo’s expression turned serious.
“All right, you two idiots. If you’re so eager to brawl, then today I’ll give you exactly what you’re asking for!”
