RWWOKS Chapter 214

This entry is part 215 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

Upon hearing the man’s words, Fang Bo’s expression immediately darkened.
It was clear—the person who had arrived was a reincarnator. After all, how else could he have immediately called out Fang Bo’s alias?

“Sure enough, the enemy has already noticed our little moves.”

After a brief moment of silence, Fang Bo threw out a scouting skill with a sharp flick of his wrist.

[ID No. 8562 (Blue Fist Saint)]

Attack Tendency: High
Attribute Tendency: Agility, Mental, Strength
Traits: Qi Unification
Threat Assessment: A worthy opponent

Qi Unification: +20% Mental attribute damage for bare-handed attacks.

Fang Bo’s eyes focused on the enemy’s ID number starting with 8, and his uneasy feeling only intensified.

This priest-looking guy… Could he be a reincarnator from a Difficulty Two world?

“Scouting skills, huh?” The priest smiled faintly, bowing with an elegant gentleman’s gesture. “You may call me ‘Yili Jiang’. As for my exact title, I’m afraid that’s classified.”

“As for your guess,” he continued, “I can give you a clear answer: you’re right.”

With a slight rotation of his hand, the man pulled the massive cross from his back, holding it in front of him.

“You’ve got quite a lot of guts. We hadn’t even come looking for you yet, but you’ve come running into the King of Fighters world to die.”

With a mighty swing, the cross slammed into the ground, causing the cement floor to crack like spider webs.

Mind-powered!

An invisible pulse swept through the area, and Fang Bo immediately felt his body stiffen slightly.

Mind Power: Enemies within a certain range experience temporary body paralysis.

Level MAX Effect: Giant’s Strength: Within the range of Mind Power, your speed, attack speed, and jumping ability are significantly increased.

To enter a lower-difficulty world like King of Fighters, Yili Jiang had to endure some significant space-based penalties.

First, his base attributes were all scaled down proportionally.

Originally, his attributes were all well-leveled up, but now, after the reduction, only a few key attributes remained at “19.”

Second, in a lower-difficulty world, he couldn’t open his spatial imprint.

That meant he couldn’t use the items stored in his imprint.

Third, his equipped gear couldn’t be worn due to the reduction in his attributes.

To solve this, he had to prepare a new set of appropriate equipment.

Fortunately, the orphanage had vast resources, so it didn’t matter too much about losing some of his gear.

If it had been any other reincarnator coming into this world, losing the bonuses from their gear might have left them weaker than in a Difficulty One world.

These were the disadvantages of lowering the difficulty, but the upside was that the skills of these Difficulty Two strongmen wouldn’t be weakened.

With the skills he’d painstakingly honed, Yili Jiang was confident he could suppress any opponent with ease.

Mind Power was just one of his many abilities.

“Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll just help you along.”

The moment his words fell, Yili Jiang’s figure appeared right in front of Fang Bo.

Instant Fist!

The punch came so fast it was nearly invisible to the naked eye. The Yoriichi Type 0 puppet that stood in front of Fang Bo didn’t even have time to react, and was sent flying seven or eight meters with a single blow.

Yili Jiang’s body swayed left and right as if he were a seasoned boxer, effortlessly dodging the falling iron sand spikes from above.

No sensory skills were used; the enemy was simply relying on experience and solid fundamentals to fight.

“Your attacks are too predictable, Seven,” Yili Jiang taunted while dodging. “If I’m not mistaken, you must have poured all your points into your skills, haven’t you?”

Once the barrage of iron sand spikes ended, he rushed forward, throwing a flurry of punches like a storm.

Punch Barrage!

Seven punches in one second—powerful consecutive strikes that even interrupted the Wind Shadow Puppet‘s magnetic levitation skill.

“Today, I’ll show you how a Difficulty Two world’s strongman fights.”

With that, Yili Jiang grabbed the puppet with one hand.

Skill Activated: Tiger Assault, Grabbing Successful!

My Strength 33, Enemy’s Strength 28, Grabbing Effect Judgment in Progress

Strength Judgment Passed. Target is in a forced state, cannot break free, cannot use potions.

Using the momentum from his charge, Yili Jiang slammed forward like a cannonball.

If nothing went wrong, the next second, he would throw the puppet directly at Fang Bo.

Once hit, Fang Bo would face the brutal high-frequency combos of the Blue Fist Saint.

However…
“Is this what you wanted me to see?”

The blade of Kusanagi Sword shot out, growing longer and piercing through the Wind Shadow Puppet, and also impaling Yili Jiang’s muscular body.

Your treasure weapon caused 41 points of piercing damage to the enemy.

“Hmm?” Fang Bo furrowed his brows instinctively, his gaze following the damage dealt by Kusanagi Sword.

This wasn’t just reduced damage—this felt like a clean cut right down the middle.

Even Kusanagi Sword, a beginner-tier artifact, had this effect. Other weapons would likely fare even worse.

The enemy must have some sort of damage reduction skill or equipment with a similar effect.

But it didn’t matter—half damage was still enough to leave the enemy severely wounded after just one round.

“Interesting.”
Yili Jiang, though caught off guard, remained calm and immediately canceled his previous skill.

Using precise movements, he dodged the golden streaks of light shooting from all directions.

Every time, he avoided just by a hair’s breadth, but he still couldn’t pin down the enemy’s movements.

From the beginning of the fight until now, Yili Jiang hadn’t displayed any crushing superiority.
He was simply relying on his expert dodging and predictions to make most of Fang Bo’s attacks miss.

“This guy…”

Before Fang Bo could even think it through, he saw the enemy split into three, each coming from a different direction to attack him.

Phantom Clone!
The enemy’s body twisted in strange angles, moving erratically along diagonal lines.

Even with two puppets unleashing their full power, they still couldn’t catch Yili Jiang’s figure.

When one of the phantoms closed in on him, Fang Bo immediately raised his energy shield, attached to his cloak.

But the enemy simply faked him out, sliding to his rear with a quick step.

With a left hook to his ribs and a right punch aimed at his liver, Yili Jiang, who should have pressed the advantage, suddenly chose to retreat at the critical moment.

He had just noticed a massive change in his opponent’s appearance.

Wrist slightly rotating, Yili Jiang asked, “Is this the courage that drives you to challenge the organization?”

After swallowing a bottle of mental potion, Fang Bo entered a full-on battle state.

At this point, he had no interest in talking.

He had figured out his opponent’s strength: Yili Jiang was likely one of those reincarnators who focused all their points into basic skills.

That gap in abilities couldn’t be closed easily, but that was fine—Fang Bo was prepared to show him what “attribute superiority” really meant in battle.

Fang Bo narrowed his eyes slightly, concentrating his mental power into a needle and thrusting it into Yili Jiang’s forehead.

Your Mental Shock caused 38 points of damage to the enemy.

“What?!” For the first time since the battle began, Yili Jiang’s expression shifted. “How is your mental shock so powerful? What’s your mental attribute?”

In response, Fang Bo’s Wind Shadow Puppet unleashed its iron sand attack, while the Yoriichi Type 0 puppet watched closely.

As for Fang Bo, he had already flapped his wings and soared into the sky.

The factory’s ceiling wasn’t high, but not everyone could just reach him.

After five seconds of weapon reloading, golden ripples began to form around him, and nine of his treasures appeared one after the other.

Below, Yili Jiang was still dodging, but he wasn’t as calm as he appeared.

After all, he was a renowned strongman from the Difficulty Two world.

Even with his attributes suppressed, he should still be able to take down a Difficulty One reincarnator with ease.

Let’s not forget, he had top-tier gear provided by the orphanage.

All his primary attributes were above 30, and his agility had even surpassed 36.

This gear came from a powerful faction, and it was given to reincarnators for missions. Non-top-tier teams couldn’t even imagine the advantages this gave him.

With his skill level far surpassing others, Yili Jiang didn’t believe anyone could defeat him—especially not someone like Seven.

Before today, he would never have imagined that his attributes would be overpowered by Seven.

Using his clones for support, Yili Jiang barely managed to dodge the second round of covering attacks.

Looking up at Seven, who was now flying high, he figured that the enemy’s mental power had to be running low.

Such frequent skill usage would eventually wear down even a Difficulty Two world’s mental powerhouse.

Of course, his own condition was also deteriorating.

Having taken three hits from the enemy, his health was down by half.

If it weren’t for his powerful gear, he might have been defeated.

Stretching his hand out, he made a cross sign in front of his chest. As soft white light appeared, his health began to slowly recover.

Healing, an essential skill for a Paladin, one he had painstakingly mastered through hard work.

Since healers couldn’t always be there, having some self-sustaining health regeneration was vital for a lone fighter like Yili Jiang.

Approaching the massive cross, he pulled the weapon from the ground.

After a quick clash with the nearby puppet, Yili Jiang leaped into the air and threw the cross like a throwing dart.

At the same time, Fang Bo’s Wind Shadow Puppet ran out of energy, forcing him to flap his wings and dodge.

Just then, a giant purple-black hand appeared out of nowhere, grabbing him tightly.

Demon’s Hand!

“You won’t escape this time.”

Pulling Seven toward him, suspended in midair, Yili Jiang swung his arm. Blue light gathered around his fists.

One punch, two punches, three…

In just two seconds, Yili Jiang landed twelve devastating punches, each packed with full force.

Even with his attributes reduced, each punch dealt around thirty damage—enough to kill his opponent.

In his frenzy, Yili Jiang didn’t realize that Seven, “on the brink of death,” was tightly clutching him.

It wasn’t until he felt a dull pain, like a blunt knife slicing into his flesh, that he realized something wasn’t right.

Plunder Skill, Activated!

After two seconds of relentless attacks, Yili Jiang had only taken about 200 points of health damage.

But his Heart of Steel was enough to mitigate it, and he managed to heal back 28 health.

“To jump to conclusions without understanding your enemy’s abilities…”

“Your downfall was your arrogance, coming from a Difficulty Two world.”

With a cold smile, Fang Bo clasped his hands, trapping Yili Jiang tightly in front of him.

Sunlock coiled around them like a serpent, binding them together.

At first, Yili Jiang didn’t understand what Fang Bo was doing.

Such chains could easily be broken the moment he touched the ground.

He couldn’t believe this would defeat him.

But as the golden ripples began to emerge around them, a terrifying realization struck him.

“Wait… Could you possibly be…?!”

The shadow of death loomed closer. Yili Jiang’s voice trembled, “Calm down, brother, are you really willing to die together?”

“Die together?” Fang Bo sneered, his words as cold as steel. The next second, the sky was filled with golden light, engulfing both of them.
