RWWOKS Chapter 223

This entry is part 224 of 247 in the series The Reincarnation World Where Only I Know the Storyline

“Let’s go!”

At the command, the Ghost Spiders charged towards the enemy’s clone army.

Both sides were old adversaries, and Rokushin was confident enough in her ability to deal with these foes.

As a shikigami skilled in perception, she could feel the overwhelming terror from the enemy, and eliminating these small fry quickly would allow her to assist the summoner sooner.

“I’ll leave this to you,” Fang Bo ordered, then summoned the signature ninja technique of the Wind Shadow Puppet.

Magnetic Rejection: Sand-Iron Domain Technique!

A storm of sand and iron fell from the sky, successfully dividing the battlefield into several segments.

Seeing this, Kagura Chizuru decisively ordered her clan sisters to launch an assault on the enemy, while she herself faced off with the terrifying figure.

As soon as they clashed, she immediately felt the overwhelming power of the opponent.

Fortunately, her speed was incredible, and if she couldn’t win in a direct confrontation, she could evade and engage in guerrilla-style combat.

“Just hold on a little longer. Whether the injuries are healed or not, he’ll wake up soon enough.”

Currently, there were roughly four battlefields.

-Kagura Chizuru vs. Mr. X.

-Rokushin leading the Ghost Spiders against the clone Kyo army.

-The Kagura clan attacking the Chosen One and his subordinates.

-Fang Bo fighting alone against a reincarnator of moderate difficulty.

The outcome of any battle would affect the others, and in turn, impact the overall situation in unimaginable ways.

Therefore, Fang Bo had held nothing back from the start.

Nightmare State, activate!

He also popped a Secondary Mental Elixir (Mental +5).

Mental: 51 (+32)

A terrifying surge of mental power swept over him like a tidal wave, and the reincarnator Ji Mu, who had previously appeared carefree, immediately turned pale.

“That mental fluctuation—could he really be a first-tier reincarnator?!”

Ji Mu’s face darkened, feeling that the situation was deviating from his expectations.

But no matter. He had made a golden dish with local world ingredients, and it was more than enough to handle the current situation.

Delicious Golden Dish: All Attributes +5, lasts for 30 minutes, random special negative effect applied.

This was the pinnacle of his culinary skills, with effects already quite outstanding. But, Ji Mu also had a special trait.

Food is Heaven: Food buffs are increased by 200%, cooking success rate +20%.

The dish he consumed would be enhanced by a 200% boost.

That meant this golden dish would give a terrifying All Attributes +15.

Combined with the low-tier set provided by his organization, Ji Mu’s perception, mental power, and constitution soared, each surpassing 40 points.

His combat power increased at an incredible rate.

“Hey, kid, you’re not the only one who can pop pills.”

With that, he drew out a weapon resembling a cleaver from his pocket and charged at Fang Bo with astonishing speed.

“Looks like another master relying on basic skills,” Fang Bo muttered as he controlled two of his puppets to intercept the attack.

As expected, the enemy’s understanding of close-quarters combat was far superior to his.

In just two exchanges, the left arm of the Yenichi Zero was severed, and even with all his might, the Ancient Sun Wheel couldn’t land a hit on the enemy’s body.

Oddly enough, the weapon didn’t lose much durability, but the arm was chopped off by the enemy’s cleaver.

“This weapon must have some special effect, or he possesses some unusual skill.”

But so what?

Fang Bo was never one to stand still and trade blows. The Black Sand danced wildly, forcing the reincarnator to constantly defend himself.

Taking advantage of the distraction, the Shadow Moon Trident struck like a ghost and hit the man’s body with pinpoint precision.

[Your Noble Phantasm dealt 38 damage to the enemy.]

“Dammit!” Ji Mu yelled, seemingly trying to break through the relentless Black Sand.

However, when the Wind Shadow Puppet had sufficient energy, no one could easily break through its blockade—provided it wasn’t focusing all its energy on attacking.

As long as it wasn’t on the offensive, the Wind Shadow Puppet‘s defensive abilities were unparalleled.

“This isn’t going well.” Ji Mu grumbled, dodging the sand-iron encirclement while also avoiding weapons that occasionally flew toward him.

Just then, a chain nearly ensnared him, but thanks to his cleaver-like Butcher’s Knife, he managed to chop the chain away.

Through the sea of sand, Ji Mu vaguely saw the enemy’s position.

Taking a deep breath, he infused a massive amount of mental power into his weapon, quickly causing it to glow with a blue light.

At that moment, a golden beam of light pierced through the thick sand.

The timing of the enemy’s attack was perfect—it came just as Ji Mu was about to use his ultimate technique.

He couldn’t avoid this move, nor could he evade it.

“It’s fine, the last weapon strike didn’t hurt too much, so this one should be the same.”

Before he could finish his sentence, the golden beam pierced through Ji Mu’s chest, sending waves of intense pain throughout his body.

[Your Noble Phantasm dealt 174 critical damage to the enemy.]

He spat out a stream of bright red blood, his eyes wide with confusion. “Why the hell is this attack so painful?”

Fortunately, his health was exceptionally high, so the pain was tolerable—this fatal wound was nothing major.

“Take this, you bastard!”

Ji Mu swung his weapon forward with all his might, unleashing a blue crescent slash that cut through the sand-iron and successfully hit the target.

Crescent Moon Slash!

Level MAX Effect: Pierces through; no energy-based defense can stop it.

“Heh, you think this will save you?” Ji Mu spat blood, wearing a bizarre grin reminiscent of Wu Lao’er’s.

This was the negative effect he had suffered. While it didn’t cause significant harm, it did make him look rather foolish.

[You were hit by the No. 8201 Crescent Moon Slash, taking 235 slashing damage.]

[Your talent “Heart of Steel” activated, restoring 106 health.]

From the enemy’s slash, it was clear that this reincarnator’s mental attribute had likely surpassed 40 points.

Even without using items, he was still a formidable opponent.

Unfortunately, this reincarnator, who relied primarily on close combat and lacked a bit of momentum, could not break through the layers of defense to get to Fang Bo.

Especially with the lack of agility, he couldn’t escape the entangling sand-iron.

“I’ve got you now.”

Magnetic Rejection: Sand Binding Coffin!

Seeing the man trapped inside a mass of sand-iron, Fang Bo lightly flicked his fingers and, shamefully, stole Gaara’s signature move.

Sand Funeral!

The crushing pressure gathered instantly, and Fang Bo could even hear the grinding sound of teeth.

With 120 damage, it was clear that he had finally figured out how to properly use sand-iron.

Large creations like this may look intimidating, but in practice, they were difficult to land on an enemy. It was far more effective to bind the enemy’s body instead.

The Anode Lock kept the still-bound enemy in place, eight golden ripples appeared, and with this blow, Fang Bo was determined to end this fight.

Now, the situation was very interesting. While the reincarnator was balanced in all attributes, Fang Bo, who was known for his balanced growth, had begun focusing on explosive power in a single attribute.

I have to admit, focusing on a single attribute for combat power increase is incredibly effective.

Even though the enemy has three attributes superior to his own, with the help of the Wind Shadow Puppet, Fang Bo is able to keep them at bay without them coming any closer.

Without the chance to showcase their strengths, those supposedly high attributes are nothing more than a decoration.

“It’s over.”

Just as he was about to unleash his Noble Phantasm, Fang Bo’s expression suddenly changed.

Before he could react, a column of spiritual energy erupted from beneath his feet.

[You were attacked by the energy pillar (ID: 15140), causing 89 points of energy damage.]

[Talent “Heart of Steel” activated, restoring 35 HP.]

Noticing the special ID number, Fang Bo immediately realized who had attacked him.

Turning his head, he saw the Chosen One, Konstantin, floating in mid-air.

As for the female martial artist who had been attacking him earlier, she was now just a pile of corpses scattered on the ground.

“This guy’s kill efficiency is insane.”

After dodging the second energy pillar, Fang Bo looked up and saw the reincarnator, Ji Mu, chewing on a white rice ball.

It was clear that the life points he had almost lost earlier were now being restored, likely because Ji Mu was benefiting from double the effects of his elixirs.

“This is troublesome.”

The Wind Shadow Puppet‘s energy was almost drained, and soon Fang Bo would have to face the combined assault of two powerful enemies.

Not wanting to be attacked from both sides, he had no choice but to risk everything in the final moments.

He commanded the Wind Shadow Puppet to whip up a massive sea of sand, temporarily blocking any chance of the two enemies teaming up.

Meanwhile, he himself moved stealthily within, using the sand-iron as cover to hide his presence.

“How boring.” Konstantin, floating above, waved his hand and fired energy blasts that looked like black holes.

What appeared to be an impenetrable sea of sand-iron was immediately riddled with large gaps.

Feeling the energy coming from the left, Konstantin released another energy pillar, but instead of hitting Fang Bo, it struck one of his puppets.

“Hmm?” Konstantin seemed to sense something, and turned his gaze toward Ji Mu, who was munching on the rice ball.

Just in time, he saw Ji Mu forming hand seals.

“Ninjutsu?!”

[You cast the Dark Path Jutsu on ID 8201. Mental attribute check passed.]

[Check passed, ID 8201 is blinded for 7 seconds.]

Almost as soon as Ji Mu completed his jutsu, various Noble Phantasms materialized around him.

At such close range, they could pierce through the enemy’s chest in less than a tenth of a second.

Despite Ji Mu’s exceptional perception, he was unable to defend against these attacks. Even though he could sense the incoming weapons, his speed was insufficient to block eight simultaneous strikes.

Activating all his equipment effects, the eight weapons combined caused over 600 points of damage.

Even if Ji Mu had been at full health, he would have been overwhelmed and killed instantly.

[You killed reincarnator ID 8201, awarded a personal kill chest.]

As the Noble Phantasms dissipated into light, Fang Bo calmly bent down and retrieved the chest.

He then turned to watch Konstantin slowly descending from the sky.

[ID 15140 (Chosen One)]
[Attack preference: High]
[Attribute preference: Constitution, Mental, Perception]
[Traits: Undying Mark (Mythic), Blood of the Great Serpent (Legendary)]
[Threat assessment: Slightly weaker]

Since their last encounter, Konstantin had clearly gained a Legendary-level talent from somewhere.

It seemed his strength had greatly increased.

Unfortunately, it still wasn’t enough to match Fang Bo.

No matter how powerful the technique, it still needed the support of basic attributes.

For example, his Treasure of the King now had an enhanced power attribute, allowing him to deal 40-50 damage with ease.

If it continued to improve, each Noble Phantasm might soon deal 100-180 points of terrifying damage.

At that point, there would be no enemy he couldn’t take down in an instant.

Golden ripples spread slowly as nine Noble Phantasms reappeared around him.

Having just defeated a reincarnator of moderate difficulty with overwhelming force, even the Chosen One dared not attack recklessly.

“Well done, you’ve definitely made me misjudge you.” Konstantin’s eyes glinted with sarcasm as he smirked. “Do you know? Every time I see you, I feel absolutely disgusted.”

Fang Bo had no time to listen to more of his nonsense. He immediately launched another attack.

Eight meteors flew toward Konstantin first, while the Anode Lock sought the best path to bind him.

Konstantin wasn’t good at movement, and such an attack would be impossible for him to dodge.

However, Konstantin had never intended to dodge in the first place.

“Let me show you the gap in our strength.”

As his words fell, a burst of blinding white light suddenly enveloped everyone.

MAX Super Ultimate Skill: Sunbeam!
